Various Logos
2016 — 2026
Sometimes you need something tactile to get your idea off the ground: a glowing sign, a stamped package, a stitched tag. From scrappy start-up to corporate institution, a logo carries more than you can see. It’s make-up is deceptively simple, but when done well evokes deep associations and creates new meaning using art, history and culture.
These examples span ten years of that work. Some I drew myself, quick and direct (or toiled over). Others I led as art director on larger teams with heaps of dedicated brand research. My inspiration is not other designs. Logos are for the people, not just those savy to marketing trends. It comes from a lifetime of looking: What fonts hold memory, what textures stir feelings, how impressions change ans age over time.
